Clinical Trials for Morgellons Disease
Because Morgellons Disease is not recognized yet by the
medical establishment, it is unlikely that there are
clinical trials associated with the disease.
However, it is always good to search the trials sites just
in case.

Morgellons. "There is very little info available
on Morgellons. One thing...IT IS
NOT ALL IN YOUR HEAD! I hope to be able to have a list of
doctors who
are openminded enough to realize that, because the doctor
doesn't know about a particular problem, the patient isn't
crazy. I would like to
have a list of Egomaniacal ducks (MDs) to avoid. This is a
support
group.
Symptoms include eye problems and swelling, mental
decline, hair
falling out, skin problems including itching, blue spots,
white spots, stuff coming out of your skin, skin
"stretching", swelling, redness on
the side of the lips, inside the elbows, on feet and more.
In desperation, I put antibiotic cream on the redness on
the inside of my elbows and thought I would go out of my
mind from the itch. Washing the abx cream stopped the
itching. My nails break and I have urinary
frequency (helped by zinc supplements) but, though they
came with the Morgellons symptoms, I'm not sure they're
from Morgellons.
Patients appear to have chronic lyme disease (diagnosed or
undiagnosed).
I'm ome of those people who believe that Lyme, Chronic
Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, MS, and many more, are
different strains of the same
disease.
Sugar and carbohydrates appear to make my Morgellons
symptoms worse.
Going off carbs for a few days lessened my symptoms.
Lotrimin (over the counter) around the eyes helped my eye
symptoms. Lotrimin and Bactroban (prescription) Cream
seems to help skin problems. Do NOT use Bactroban Cream
around the eyes."

- Morgellons
Research Foundation. "The Morgellons Research
Foundation is dedicated to finding the cause of an
emerging infectious disease, which mimics scabies and
lice. This foundation has referred to this infectious
disease as "Morgellons Disease", due to the need for a
consistent label when contacting politicians and health
departments. The cause of Morgellons Disease is currently
a medical mystery.
Most individuals with this disease report disturbing
crawling, stinging, and biting sensations, as well as
non-healing skin lesions, which are associated with highly
unusual structures. These structures can be described as
fiber-like or filamentous, and are the most striking
feature of this disease. In addition, patients report the
presence of seed-like granules and black speck-like
material associated with their skin."
