  • Artists with MCS.  "The network was founded by German author and painter Moon McNeill in 2001. After being diagnosed with MCS in 2000, Moon McNeill wanted to return to the artistic work she had enjoyed in former times - but she did not find any painting medium she was able to tolerate. Even scanning of internet resources did not produce any help. German MCS-networks and support groups did not know anything of value. Soon after founding the network, Moon stumbled into the homepage of the American MCS-musician Kim Palmer who replied she would be interested to join an MCS-artists network if there was any. This was the official birth of the international network Artists with MCS, the way it is existing now."

Our efforts in this area include the distribution of a six-page selected bibliography of studies and articles on chemical sensitivity published in peer-reviewed journals. The amount of solid research on this subject is expanding each year, and we believe it is important to alert physicians and researchers to scientific information on this condition that is as yet not always recognized or understood. One of our goals in distributing this list is to stimulate other scientists to consider launching research studies in this field."

MACI is an organization of diverse people and is run completely by our members who volunteer their time and talents. As we have grown, we have expanded the services we provide to an increasing population of chemically injured people and their families in Massachusetts and throughout our neighboring New England states. Patient Web Sites Dealing with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS)

  • Helle Kongevang.  "My name is Helle Kongevang. I have created this website in order to give me an opportunity to share the knowledge and experience, I have gained concerning the diseases I suffer from - with great help from my friends on the internet."
  • Jacki's Story.  "from "Chronic Fatigue Syndrome" diagnosis to MCS diagnosis and improvement at last!"
  • MCS Homepage.  Rabin Prusty's site.
  • Multiple Chemical Sensitivity.  "This site contains many links to safer products, non-toxic catalogs, and sites with information of interest to those with any sort of sensitivity to chemicals. Those with Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia may also benefit from using less toxic products.

The rest of this site contains information on what I am doing to get better. I am approaching my journey to getting well, from a standpoint of doing what is more in tune with nature and what God intended. I have sworn off all drugs, supplements, doctors and un-natural things. And I do feel this is the only approach that has helped me at all."
  • Satori-5.  "To stand a ghost of a chance of telling this MCS story like it really was, and still is, I knew this website section would - of sheer necessity - have to be big. Given the prevailing and quite extraordinary health challenges, the rather incredible domestic circumstances, and an almost total lack of effective medical, physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support, this knowledge was something of a last hope killer. When you mostly don't have what it takes to walk to the end of your own little cal-de-sac and back then how the hell can you possibly hope to climb a mountain? Yet having realistically surveyed all my very limited options my only real hope of survival seemed [and still seems] to lie somewhere on or near the summit of that metaphorical mountain - if, that is, it actually lies anywhere at all."
  • Stephanie's Story.  "MCS From a Child's Perspective."

Travel

  • Air Travel Health News.  "Diana Fairechild is an aviation health & safety author, and an expert witness in legal cases involving airline passengers.

Fairechild's first book, Jet Smart, opened up a Pandora's box of airline abuses. Examples: Cabin air is recirculated, pilots reduce fresh air to save fuel, passengers may get sprayed with pesticide, you need to bring your own water when you fly, and "direct" flights are not necessarily nonstop.

Fairechild's helpful tips to mitigate these problems are now used by travelers worldwide. How to get better air, what not to eat, how to sleep, how best to cope with jetlag, and more, have all been widely quoted by the media including Dateline, Extra, Hard Copy, CNN, ABC and NBC.

Fairechild's award-winning web site, http://www.Flyana.com, continues her life mission as an airline passenger advocate who empowers passengers to jet smarter."

Because the human body has come under increasing assault from a technologically and economically driven infrastructure, the common practice of medical specialty must give way to understanding that the body is the sum of its parts."  Films.
