  • Alliance for Natural Health (ANH).  "The Alliance for Natural Health (ANH) is a UK-based, pan-European and international not-for-profit campaign organisation working to protect and promote natural health care by ‘good science' and 'good law’.

We are working on your behalf to stop bans on safe and effective natural products used by millions in healthcare. In a world where pharmaceutical drugs, complete with a raft of side effects, are increasingly seen by healthcare authorities and the orthodox medical community as the central plank in healthcare, many consumers around the world are choosing different ways to maintain and promote health.

Natural products, be they herbs from long-standing eastern traditions or sophisticated food supplements and functional foods, continue to help millions of people to restore balance in their bodies, so that self-healing processes are triggered and good health is resumed. But therapeutic natural products are now deeply under threat, nationally and internationally, as increasingly stringent regulatory requirements are being ushered in by pharmaceutically-biased regulators, supported by a clutch of transnational corporations in the pharmaceutical and food sectors.

The ANH believes that every person has a right to use nature to help maintain or regain health, and it is an infringement of our civil liberties to prevent this. We also argue that good science and good law are the vital tools needed to help re-access this right, given that these processes work with rather than against nature. Good science and good law is what ANH does daily on your behalf, working locally, nationally and internationally.

The campaign is headed by Dr Robert Verkerk, a world-renowned scientist who has worked tirelessly on health, agricultural and environmental issues both in academia and as a campaigner.

The ANH campaign commenced in February 2002, to pull together disparate groups of consumers, practitioners, doctors, scientists, lawyers and leading-edge companies who saw the immense risks posed by regulatory threats in Europe and internationally . The totality of these measures are capable of legislating safe, effective and innovative food supplements and natural therapies out of existence. They may in the future also drastically restrict the practice of traditional medicinal cultures, some of which are thousands of years old.

We are very focused, with a clear remit: to protect natural healthcare using an approach that is rational and underpinned by good science and good law..."

  • American College for Advancement in Medicine (ACAM).  "The American College for Advancement in Medicine is committed to developing an educational program that is based upon the most current, comprehensive and scientifically sound evidence available. ACAM programs are consistently of the highest caliber, attracting thought leaders in the field of integrative medicine from around the world. Continuing medical education credits are available for pre-conference workshops and conference programs. ACAM is approved to grant CME by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education.

We encourage ACAM faculty to evaluate the evidence that underlies their materials, selecting the most valid and reliable evidence for the topic being addressed; topics may include philosophy, principles, basic science, and clinical applications. For clinical applications, a hierarchy of evidence (highest to lowest validity) can help to select the best science available. An example of such a hierarchy might include: meta-analysis; randomized clinical trials; non-randomized controlled trials; well-designed cohort or case-control analysis; expert consensus; epidemiological and descriptive studies; expert opinions and case reports. We work with our presenters to identify the level(s) of evidence used in preparing materials for lecture, so that we, in turn, can report our level of scientific rigor to our accrediting agency, the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education."

  • Complementary Medical Services for Prisoners (CMSP).  "CMSP is a naturopathic, multi-faceted health service supplier of integrated drug-free medicine, treatment modalities and therapeutic options.

We undertake research, evaluation and full clinical trials to demonstrate the efficacy of CMSP's treatment approach and to advance the role of constitutional, integrated, complementary medicine in prisons and the wider community.

The purpose of the treatment programme to address violence is to reduce recidivism and to serve as a protection for the civilian community. The programme employs methods which are effective with prisoners presenting with patterns of control, violence, addiction, self-destruction, malice and related disturbances.

The service also offers person-centred growth and specialist training for practitioners and a professional support service for those who have experienced violence, trauma and stress in the work place.

CMSP's aim is to establish centres that can serve as models for others to establish truly holistic, constitutional, integrated complementary medical healthcare both for prisoners and those in the community."

  • Body2Earth, LLC.  "Re-connect with the Earth and Enhance your Well Being. Preliminary research reveals that re-connecting with the electrons and natural frequencies on the earth’s surface can Improve Sleep & Energy, Enhance Recovery, Relieve Muscle Tension & Stress, Restore Normal Biological Rhythms, and that’s just the beginning. We now recognize the role the earth plays in reducing free radical damage. The earth is a vast reservoir of naturally produced electrons. This is important because electrons stabilize (neutralize) free radicals and stop free radical damage. The earth is therefore the best antioxidant available – and it's free. Connecting with the electrons on the surface of the earth can stop the destructive cycle that causes free radical damage. Becoming aware of the importance of our connection with the earth allows us to seek any and all opportunities to re-connect our bodies with the earth. This means spending time outdoors as often as possible – without shoes – standing barefoot on the earth. Unfortunately, in today’s world, going barefoot outdoors is often impractical. When we can’t spend time outside, Body2Earth™ introduces an Earth FX innovation, an alternative for standing barefoot on the earth. It’s called Earthing™. By placing a patented, conductive pad made with silver fiber fabrics at the foot of the bed and attaching it to a dedicated earthing system, the earth’s free electrons and natural frequencies flow instantly to the body during sleep. The limitless supply of electrons from the earth neutralizes free radicals and stop free radical damage. No wonder re-connecting with the earth is so important for our well-being."  (New 4/08)
