  • Aids Action.  "AIDS Action is a national organization dedicated to the development, analysis, cultivation, and encouragement of sound policies and programs in response to the HIV epidemic. We do this through the dissemination of information and the building and use of advocacy on behalf of all those living with and affected by HIV. Our goal is simple. Until It’s Over—until no one acquires HIV, until those living with HIV have the care and services they need, and until a cure is found.
AIDS Action has been instrumental in the development and implementation of major public health policies to improve the quality of life for the estimated 850,000 - 900,000 Americans who are HIV positive. AIDS Action Council collaborates with the greater public health community to enhance HIV prevention programs and care and treatment services; and to secure comprehensive resources to address community needs until the epidemic is over.

  • AIDS Education Global Information System (AEGiS).  AIDS information from around the world updated hourly.

It is the result of merging two previous DHHS projects: The AIDS Clinical Trials Information Service (ACTIS) and the HIV/AIDS Treatment Information Service (ATIS).

AIDSinfo is a central resource for current information on federally and privately funded clinical trials for AIDS patients and others infected with HIV. AIDS clinical trials evaluate experimental drugs and other therapies for adults and children at all stages of HIV infection -- from patients who are HIV positive with no symptoms to those with various symptoms of AIDS.

As the main dissemination point for federally approved HIV treatment and prevention guidelines, AIDSinfo provides information about the current treatment regimens for HIV infection and AIDS-related illnesses, including the prevention of HIV transmission from occupational exposure and mother-to-child transmission during pregnancy."

Each of the more than 44,000 colorful panels that make up the Quilt memorializes the life of a person lost to AIDS.

As the epidemic continues claiming lives around the world and here in the United States, the Quilt continues to grow and to reach more communities with its messages of remembrance, awareness and hope.
