Dilated Cardiomyopathy UK. "My name is Martyn
Painter, (that’s a picture of me) I am 35 and I have
Dilated Cardiomyopathy, which is a disease of heart that
leads to Congestive Cardiac Failure (Heart Failure). It
was diagnosed during April 2002 after I went to Casualty
because I was feeling so unwell and was getting no help
from my G.P. I am being seen by my G.P., local Cardiac
Specialist and the Transplant team at Harefield Hospital
(I am not currently on the transplant list). I go up to
Middlesex every six months to be access for the list, so
far my medication is keeping my heart stable, a full list
of all the medication I take is below. I have taken
medical retirement from my job with Barclays bank.
I have noticed that most of the groups on Yahoo are US
based and the medications and treatments are very
different. I wanted to set up this group so UK based
people could talk and support each other. While this is
true I would welcome any members from the around the world
to share and discuss and problems or issues.
This site is not just for people with DCM but also for
careers, family and friends, I really want to make it
relaxed and fun, please discuss anything related to heart
disease and how it effects your life.
This group has been going for over two years and I would
like to thank all members past and present for their
posts, it has been a great experience for me and I hope
for others." Yahoo! group.

LindaGoesLowCarb · Diabetes, obesity, help without
meds. "Diabetic? Overweight? Hate taking medication?
You've come to the right place for help. More and more
enlightened folks are recognizing that long-term,
permanent weight control and good health are tied to
CARBOHYDRATE intake, NOT fat, not calories, not diet
pills, etc. Diabetes is epidemic, and doctors are pushing
meds on us with no regard for consequences. I'm a Type II
diabetic, and have a message of hope for all. Americans
love carbohydrates! Potatoes, pasta, bread – all high carb
foods! When high carb foods enter your body, they are
quickly broken down into glucose (sugar), which raises
your blood sugar levels, causing insulin (the fat-storing
hormone!) production. We discuss how to minimize this
process. We will also cover many natural nutrients and
Ayurvedic remedies which rebuild, restore, and rejuvenate,
our bodies! This forum is NOT limited to weight loss, but
includes dealing with diabetes, heart disease, etc. I am
committed to natural healing methods. Please join us!"

Lower-sodium · Recipes and tips for lowering dietary
sodium (salt) intake. "Most people's diets
contain far more sodium than they need. People with
conditions such as high blood pressure, congestive heart
failure, kidney disease, or edema or fluid retention may
especially benefit from sodium restriction.
However, it can be very hard to restrict sodium. Lower
sodium isn't "in," and most prepared foods contain large
amounts of sodium. This list is to provide both lower
sodium recipes as well as tips, hints, and sources for
finding lower sodium prepared foods.
This list is for all levels of sodium restriction, from
those just desiring to moderate their sodium intake, to
those who must practice strict sodium restriction."

foods! Increasing the RAW FOOD in your diet can greatly
improve your health! Food ENZYMES are important to your
health. Let's share info, tips, sources, url's, recipes
and personal experiences with eating more RAW FOOD.
This group is here to support people wanting to learn how
to eat a Healthy Raw Food Diet. Just because something is
raw doesn't necessarily mean it is the best thing for us.
This group supports a Vegan Raw Food Diet. Please don't
come here trying to promote other diets.
This is a friendly group of people. We welcome debate, but
do it without name calling and anger in the posts.
Negative posts and posters will be banned.
You are also welcome to share your experiences with
NATURAL HYGIENE. Animals in the wild live according to
their instinct and the laws of nature. They live their
lives without getting cancer, heart disease, stroke and
the other diseases of so-called "civilization." No animal
in the wild takes supplements. They just eat the foods
they are biologically adapted to.
Natural Hygiene is a study of nature and of health. So
come and share your experiences of nature in action. We
can also discuss the writings of authors in the raw food
movement including Dr. Herbert Shelton, Dr. Douglas
Graham, David Wolfe, Dr. Gabriel Cousens and so on."
