Lucia K. August, MA. "My philosophy of
psychotherapy reflects my belief that people ultimately
have within themselves the answers to their dilemmas,
struggles, and life questions. I see my job as a
facilitator to enable them to find those solutions. I take
each person, couple or family as unique and therefore, my
interventions are as unique and varied as the
person/people in front of me. I find psychotherapy to be
an exciting path of exploration and discovery for the
client. I enjoy witnessing the changes people make when
they are willing to invest the needed time, energy and
money into the process."

Katy Kram,
MPH, RN, RD, LD. "Eating well is one of life's
great pleasures
...and YOU have the right to a healthy relationship with
food without the dieting madness that locks you into a
struggle to change your body.
At Freedom from Dieting, I base my approach on the belief
that diets do not work and that people can regain the
wisdom about eating they once had. Diets teach people to
place their trust in an outside authority to tell them
when and what to eat. This distances people from their
intuitive knowing, causing them to stop hearing the body's
inner voice.
People can learn, again, to eat from internal signals of
hunger and satisfaction. With exhilaration and
trepidation, they take steps to throw out external food
rules and to give themselves permission to make their own
food choices. They learn to challenge societal standards
of beauty and move toward self-acceptance. In a supportive
atmosphere, they look under surface hungers and discover
what it is they really want in life.
As they continue in their journey, people also refine life
skills around dealing with emotions, setting boundaries
and nurturing themselves so that food, weight and body
image obsessions no longer occupy the place in their life
that they once held."

Marna Goldstein.
"By focusing on what you desire, you will soon become
extremely clear why you want to lose weight and exactly
what you are reaching for. I will clearly and precisely
walk you into your vision so that you can create the most
detailed and powerful vision each and every day.
I will then work with your thoughts to retrain your brain
to treat the CAUSES of your overeating. I don't want you
to lose weight again, I want you to lose weight
permanently. Through guided meditations, Law-of-attraction
strategies, and behavioral and cognitive restructuring,
you will begin to see your retrain your mind.
Through a comprehensive process, I will guide you simply
and gently to examine your emotions and behaviors to
become a naturally thin thinking and behaving person. With
my 14 years of interviewing and closely examining (as well
as personally transforming my body) these naturally thin
people, l will attack the cause of your emotions that are
keeping you overweight. I will take all of the mystery out
of eating thin from within. Through this coaching process,
you will see long-lasting body changes. As you begin to
develop a naturally thin way of thinking, behaving and
living, you will truly enjoy eating, and at the same time
achieve a slimmer more beautiful body, while changing your
long lasting beliefs. I will show you how to live without
scales, calorie or fat-gram counting, without complicated
food combining or fanatical exercise regimens. This method
is natural and automatic. You will see belief and weight
changes like never before.
This approach gives you total FREEDOM. Diets give you
restrictive eating rules that may help you temporarily
lose weight, so long as you continue to restrict your
eating according to the diet. At some point, (when you
lose the weight or when the diet fails), you always go off
the diet. Thin From Within's FREEDOM Coaching™ techniques
gives you permanent weight loss without any restrictive
eating. There’s no diet to "get off of." This method not
only permanently frees you from your excess weight but
frees you to completely enjoy eating whatever you want to
manifest your thin body that's been there all along..."

Chiara Manodori LCSW. "Eating Disorders can be
caused by a combination of factors including:
socio-cultural pressures to engage in body-hatred
behaviors, family background, childhood events, current
life stressors, and even personality traits. I use a
combination therapy approach which includes cognitive
behavioral, psychodynamic, and psychoeducational therapy
as well as addictions and socio-cultural models. We begin
with getting to know one another and establishing a
trusting relationship and then work with specific tools to
break the cycle of dieting/bingeing/purging. Once the
symptoms begin to decrease, we can then address underlying
feelings and conflicts that supported the eating
disorder."
