acute care, Medicare-certified hospital; usable information
was received from 1,157 hospitals (83% response rate),
reports Biomedical Market Newsletter(R). Copies are still
available of the most popular issue in recent months, the
publisher announced today, and can be charged at BMN’s
website for fastest delivery.
Although drug acquisition costs are influenced by rebates
from manufacturers and payments from group purchasing
organizations, and nearly 60% of the surveyed hospitals
reported receiving one or more rebates, for some hospitals,
these rebates were as high as 29% of the drug's purchase
price.
